PEOPLE, Page 92All Play and No WorkBy Howard G. Chua-Eoan
"Well," as Ronald Reagan would say, when Nancy's away . . . The
former President was not quite admitting to goofing off, but he did
accept an 8-ft. surfboard from the students at Pepperdine
University, where he delivered a speech. Don't expect to see him
having fun, fun, fun on the surf, though. There is a lot of work
to be done at his new Bel Air residence. With Nancy on a New York
City trip, Reagan was alone unpacking crates from their White House
years, and he couldn't find his heating pad! He also confessed to
writer's block while toiling on his memoirs. Said he: "I tell you,
I sit there looking at those blank pages." Perhaps his new digs
need a ghost or two.
